Risulta vano il tentativo di catalogare Mood Filter in uno scomparto stilistico ben preciso.

Their sound, feeling and powerful rhythm bring along the alchemy between tradition and new styles.

R&B, Jazz, Funk, Jungle, Psychedelic territories and more are expressed by one of the most interesting new italian soul voices, Chris Costa, on fender rhodes, clavinet and synth together with Michele Bonivento on the hammond organ/synth bass and Luca Bortoluzzi  on drums & percussions.

They recorded their first album together in 2003, an interesting work which shows the variety and rare feeling of their original compositions.

They’re currently touring and workin’on their new album!

The project stems from collaboration between two musicians from the Alto Adige who are undeniably crazy: singer and multi-instrumentalist Chris Costa and drummer Phil Mer. They’ve been friends for ever and make music together because they love experimenting and expressing themselves, breaking down the barriers of musical genres, flirting with improvisation and remaining faithful only to the authenticity of their musical message.

Like alchemists seeking new transformations, Capsicum Tree concoct in the recording studio a mix of funk, jazz and pop, then make the mixture explode on stage in gripping live sets.

Il progetto nasce dalla collaborazione di due musicisti altoatesini indubbiamente folli, il cantante e polistrumentista Chris Costa ed il batterista Phil Mer. La loro intesa musicale deriva da una secolare amicizia e trova terreno fertile nel loro bisogno di sperimentare ed esprimere, scavalcando le transenne dei generi musicali, flirtando con l’improvvisazione, fedeli soltanto all’autenticità del messaggio musicale.

Come alchimisti in cerca di inedite trasmutazioni, i Capsicum Tree mescolano in studio di registrazione funk, jazz, pop per poi far esplodere la loro miscela nei coinvolgenti live sets.
